Food & wine – 2016 Cinsault with seared tuna salad


Fresh tuna steak

Salad ingredients:

Avocado cubed

Mixed greens

Roasted red and yellow peppers – thinly sliced

Thinly sliced fresh radish

Mung bean sprouts

Pickled ginger


Miso dressing

Balsamic glaze

Japanese mayonnaise

Black sesame seeds


Lightly sear tuna in a frying pan and allow to rest. Cut into slices.

Mix all the other salad ingredients and layer onto a serving plate.

Top with slices of tuna.

Dress with miso dressing and a few drops of balsamic glaze.

Add a few squirts of Japanese mayonnaise

Sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
